Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of salt, and 2 teaspoons of instant yeast.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1¼ cups of warm water, ¼ cup of olive oil, and 4 cloves of minced garlic along with 1 tablespoon each of fresh rosemary, thyme, and oregano.
  3. Stir the wet mixture into the flour mixture using a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
  5. Generously flour a clean surface and gently turn the dough onto it, shaping it into a round boule.
  6. Preheat your oven to 450°F and place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
  7. Remove the Dutch oven, coat the bottom with olive oil, and gently place the dough inside, seam-side down.
  8. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow the bread to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
