Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the cod fillets dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, paprika, and optional crushed red pepper flakes.
  4. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and place half of the lemon slices on the bottom.
  5. Lay the seasoned cod fillets over the lemon slices in the baking dish.
  6. Pour the marinade over the cod fillets and layer the remaining lemon slices on top.
  7. Bake for about 15 to 18 minutes until the cod is opaque.
  8. Optionally, broil for the last 1-2 minutes for a crispy top.
  9. Remove from the oven, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
