Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • 9×13-inch non-stick metal pan

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve sugar in lukewarm water and sprinkle in active dry yeast. Allow to bloom for about 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Mix in all-purpose flour and salt, then knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Generously grease a 9×13-inch non-stick metal pan with olive oil.
  4. Transfer the kneaded dough to the oiled pan, turning it over to coat. Stretch and press the dough to fill the pan. Cover and let rise for about 2 hours.
  5. While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 450–475°F.
  6. Once risen, flatten dough and spread pizza sauce. Layer cubed cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, sliced Roma tomatoes, and season with black pepper.
  7. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 17–20 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then loosen edges and slice into squares. Serve warm.

Notes

Ensure the pan is well-oiled to achieve crispy cheese edges. Let the dough rest if it doesn't stretch well. Use an oven or air fryer to reheat leftovers for best texture.
