- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

- In a skillet over medium heat, drizzle olive oil and add sliced onions. Sauté for about 15 minutes until golden brown and caramelized.

- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, sautéed onions, French onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, shredded Gruyère cheese, and fresh parsley. Mix gently until well incorporated.

- Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a loaf. Bake for approximately 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

- During the last 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle additional Gruyère cheese over the top for a gooey topping.

- Once baked, let it rest for about 5–10 minutes. Then slice and serve warm.
