Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Pat the country style pork ribs dry with paper towels.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and optional cayenne pepper for your dry rub.
- Generously coat the ribs on all sides with the dry rub mixture.
- Place the seasoned ribs into a baking dish or on a foil-lined sheet, arranged in a single layer.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 2 hours.
- Remove the foil and brush the ribs with BBQ sauce.
- Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake uncovered for an additional 20-30 minutes.
- Let the ribs rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
