Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 teaspoons of instant yeast. Whisk these dry ingredients together until well blended.
  2. Gradually add 1 cup of warmed milk and 1/4 cup of melted unsalted butter to the dry mixture. Crack in 1 large egg. Stir until it forms a sticky dough.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Mix together 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon in a small bowl for the filling.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick. Spread the cinnamon sugar mixture over the dough.
  7. Starting from one end, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seams and tuck the ends under. Place in a greased loaf pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the loaf for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and it sounds hollow when tapped.
  9. Remove the bread from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
