Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare 9x13 pan with grease or parchment.
- Make cake mix according to instructions and bake until done (25-30 minutes).
- Cool the baked cake completely in the pan for about 30 minutes.
- Crumble cooled cake into fine crumbs, mix with 3/4 cup frosting until it holds together.
- Form mixture into balls using 1-2 tbsp and place on lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Melt pink candy melts with coconut oil in microwave, heating in intervals until smooth.
- Dip chilled truffles in melted pink candy, allowing excess to drip off. Return to baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with freeze-dried strawberries or sprinkles while coating is still wet.
- Melt white chocolate for drizzling and apply over set truffles after 10 minutes.
- Allow truffles to cool completely before serving, about 15-20 minutes.
