Cooking Steps
  1. Pat the boneless chicken thighs dry with a paper towel to ensure optimal crispiness. In a mixing bowl, coat the chicken evenly with a blend of cornstarch, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the coated chicken thighs for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden-brown and cooked through.
  3. In the same pan, lower the heat and add unsalted butter to melt. Add honey, both soy sauces, five-spice powder, and garlic. Stir and simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Return the fried chicken to the pan and coat thoroughly with the sauce, cooking for an additional 2 minutes to meld flavors.
  5. Slice the glazed chicken into strips and top with sesame seeds and chopped scallions. Serve with jasmine rice and steamed vegetables.
