  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup hot water for gravy preparation
For the Gravy
  • 1 package brown gravy mix can substitute with homemade gravy

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine lean ground beef, breadcrumbs, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes until well-integrated.
  2. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat for about 1 minute until shimmering.
  3. Shape the beef mixture into 4 evenly-sized patties, about ¾-inch thick. Carefully place the patties into the hot skillet.
  4. Cook them for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and no longer pink in the center.
  5. Reduce the heat to low. In a separate bowl, whisk the brown gravy mix with hot water until smooth. Stir in additional ketchup and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Pour the gravy mixture over the patties in the skillet and allow it to simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
  7. Remove the skillet from heat. Serve the patties warm with gravy poured generously on top.
