Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a casserole dish by greasing or lining it.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and herbs. Season with salt and pepper and mix gently.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared dish. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  4. While the meatloaf bakes, heat unsalted butter in a skillet. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir for 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in beef broth and heavy cream, cooking until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. After baking, let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve with the mushroom gravy.
