Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey Use 93% lean for best results.
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Substitute with classic breadcrumbs if desired.
  • 1 large Egg Acts as a binder.
  • 4 ounces Feta Cheese Use freshly crumbled for best flavor.
  • 1 small Red Onion Finely minced.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Dill Fresh is best.
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste.
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt Creamy base.
  • 1 medium Persian Cucumbers Grated and excess moisture wrung out.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Dill Can substitute with dried if needed.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Start by grating the Persian cucumber into a bowl. Wring out the excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the drained cucumber with Greek yogurt, minced garlic, dill, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir until creamy and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, panko breadcrumbs, red onion, feta cheese, garlic, egg, oregano, dill, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  5. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with the chilled tzatziki sauce.
