  • 1/4 cup Honey Maple syrup can be used for a vegan option.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced, use less for milder taste.
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Freshly grated preferred.
For the Vegetables
  • 2 cups Bell Peppers Any color adds crunch.
  • 2 cups Broccoli Fresh or frozen works.
For Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds Optional.
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Freshly chopped.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Trim excess fat from 1 lb of chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of teriyaki sauce, 1/4 cup soy sauce, and 1/4 cup honey. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and 2 tbsp of freshly grated ginger and whisk together.
  3. Place chicken in the crockpot, pour the teriyaki sauce mixture over the chicken, then layer 2 cups of bell peppers and 2 cups of broccoli on top.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or high for 2 to 3 hours, checking for an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. To thicken sauce, remove chicken and veggies from crockpot, simmer remaining sauce on medium until reduced, then mix back in.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
