  • 1 tablespoon Dark Soy Sauce Can replace with extra light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar Adjust to taste, honey can be used
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil Optional but enhances aroma

Preparation Steps
  1. Marinate the Beef: Slice the beef flank or skirt steak into thin strips. In a medium bowl, mix with baking soda, light soy sauce, peanut oil, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 20 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together chicken broth, oyster sauce, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with one tablespoon of oil. Add the marinated beef in a single layer, cooking for about 1 minute until golden. Flip and cook another minute. Remove from skillet.
  4. Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil, then add sliced onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté for about 2 minutes until translucent.
  5. Add Asparagus: Add asparagus and stir-fry for about 1 minute until bright green and tender.
  6. Combine Everything: Pour the sauce into the pan, stirring quickly. Allow sauce to bubble for 1-2 minutes. Return cooked beef, mixing thoroughly to coat with sauce.
