Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Allow it to melt completely.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add 1 diced onion, 1 diced green bell pepper, 1 diced red bell pepper, and 1 diced jalapeño. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Incorporate 1 pound of ground beef into the skillet and cook for about 6–8 minutes until browned.
  4. Carefully drain any excess grease from the skillet and return to medium heat.
  5. Add in 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, and cracked black pepper to taste. Stir thoroughly for 2 minutes.
  6. Serve the beef and pepper mixture over 1 cup of cooked rice.
