  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Can substitute with olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh minced garlic may be used
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Fresh oregano can be substituted
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil Fresh basil works as a substitute
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust or omit for a milder version
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced salami Substitute with turkey or chicken
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced ham Substitute with turkey or chicken
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced pepperoni Substitute with turkey or chicken
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully slice the Italian sub rolls in half lengthwise.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Brush the seasoned butter mixture over the cut surfaces of each roll.
  5. Layer the salami, ham, and pepperoni on the bottom half of each roll, followed by mozzarella cheese.
  6. Add provolone cheese and sprinkle grated Parmesan over the top, then add roasted red peppers, olives, and banana peppers.
  7. Add fresh basil leaves on top of the assembled sandwiches.
  8. Carefully place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Once baked, remove the sandwiches from the oven and let them cool slightly.
