  • 1 pound Ground Beef can substitute with ground chicken or turkey
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese 5-Spice Powder
  • 2 tablespoons Low-Sodium Soy Sauce or Tamari
  • 1 tablespoon Thai Chili Sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Toasted Sesame Oil can use olive oil
For the Wrapping
  • 8 small Flour Tortillas or Rice Paper
For the Garnish
  • 2 small Persian Cucumbers julienned
  • 1 cup Fresh Cilantro
  • 1 cup Thai Basil or Italian Basil
  • 3 whole Green Onions chopped
  • ½ cup Roasted Peanuts chopped

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, Thai chili sauce, sesame oil, and Chinese 5-spice powder. Set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add ground beef. Cook until browned, then stir in garlic and ginger. Add sauce mixture and cook until well-coated.
  3. Warm tortillas or rice paper wrappers. Tortillas should be heated in a skillet, rice paper dipped in warm water.
  4. Take a warm tortilla and place beef filling in the center. Top with cucumbers, cilantro, basil, green onions, and peanuts. Roll and secure filling snugly.
  5. For the optional dipping sauce, whisk together honey, ketchup, chili paste, lime zest and juice, rice vinegar, tamari, ginger, and garlic.
  6. Serve the rolls warm alongside the dipping sauce, and enjoy!
