Ingredients

For the Strawberry Syrup
  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries Hulled, provides natural sweetness
  • 1/2 cup Sugar or Honey Adjust according to taste
  • 1 cup Water Needed to create the syrup
For the Lemonade
  • 4 cups Green Tea Brewed and cooled
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Lemon Juice Preferably fresh for optimal flavor
  • 4 cups Cold Water To dilute the mixture

Equipment

  • medium saucepan
  • Fine mesh sieve
  • large pitcher

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine hulled fresh strawberries, sugar or honey, and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes until the strawberries become tender and release their juices.
  2. Once the strawberries are soft, gently mash them with a fork to release more flavor. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, catching the syrup while separating the solids.
  3. While the strawberry syrup cools, brew 4 cups of green tea using water heated to just below boiling and steep the tea bags for 3-4 minutes.
  4. In a large pitcher, mix the cooled green tea with fresh lemon juice and the cooled strawberry syrup. Pour in 4 cups of cold water to dilute the mixture.
  5. Transfer the pitcher to the refrigerator, allowing the Strawberry Green Tea Lemonade to chill for at least 30 minutes.
  6. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled Strawberry Green Tea Lemonade over the top.
