Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Add 1 egg and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 0.5 teaspoon of baking soda, and 0.25 teaspoon of salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Divide the dough into four parts and knead different flavored Jello powder into each.
  6. Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls and coat in granulated sugar.
  7. Place the cookie balls on baking trays, leaving space between them. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool on trays for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
