Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Pizza Hut Cheese Sticks
  1. In a small bowl, combine the active dry yeast with half of the warm water (110°F) and allow it to sit for about 5–10 minutes until foamy. In a large mixing bowl, blend the sliced unsalted butter, granulated sugar, kosher salt, and the remaining warm water. Once mixed, stir in the egg yolk and the foamy yeast mixture before gradually adding all-purpose flour until just combined.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F while you prepare the baking dish. Brush a 9x13 inch baking dish with 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Transfer the dough into the prepared dish, spreading it evenly. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
  3. Once the dough has rested, carefully remove the plastic wrap. Brush the top of the dough with any remaining melted butter. Now, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese liberally over the surface, followed by a dash of garlic salt and dried oregano.
