Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add two tablespoons of olive oil.
  2. Add a medium chopped onion to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes until soft and translucent.
  3. Toss in four cloves of minced garlic and cook for another minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Pour in one can of diced tomatoes, two teaspoons each of dried basil and oregano, and a pinch of red pepper flakes, and stir together.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper, then add one cup of vegetable broth and bring to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add your favorite pasta, ensuring the noodles are submerged in the sauce. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Once the pasta is al dente, stir in half a cup of heavy cream and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Mix in half a cup of grated Parmesan cheese until melted into the sauce.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil leaves, then serve warm.
