Step-by-Step Instructions for Black Forest Trifle
  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to the package or your favorite recipe, allow to cool completely in the pan for about 30 minutes, then slice into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Prepare the chocolate pudding according to the box instructions, usually taking about 5 minutes of whisking, and refrigerate for 15 minutes to chill.
