- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your ingredients and cookware.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage with the diced onion until browned, about 8–10 minutes.
- Sauté the minced garlic in the skillet with the meat mixture for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the marinara and tomato sauce into the skillet with the meat and garlic. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes on low heat.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente, about 8–10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
- In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Repeat layers and finish with mozzarella and cheddar.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let the lasagna cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve hot, garnishing with fresh herbs if desired.
