Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add sliced smoked sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes or until browned and crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the same skillet. Add diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. In a medium saucepan, combine softened cream cheese and heavy whipping cream. Whisk over low heat for 3-5 minutes until mixture thickens slightly. Gradually add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked cauliflower florets, broccoli florets, and crispy sausage. Pour the cheese sauce over and mix thoroughly.
  6. Transfer mixed ingredients to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.
