Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated apple, softened butter, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Stir until well incorporated and set aside.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle. Slice the pastry in half lengthwise.
  3. Spread the apple mixture evenly on one half of the pastry strip. Fold the other half over and press down to seal.
  4. Slice the layered pastry into six equal strips and twist each strip 4-5 times.
  5. Arrange the twisted strips on a lined baking sheet, shaping them into circular forms. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  6. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Keep an eye on them to prevent over-browning.
  7. Once baked, let the pastries cool on a wire rack.
  8. Whisk together the icing sugar and warm water until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled pastries.
