  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar Essential for sweetness
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon Freshly ground is best
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Melted
  • 1 large Egg For wash, optional
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Optional for dusting before serving

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick on a floured surface.
  3. Mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Brush the pastry with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar evenly.
  5. Slice the pastry into 1-inch wide strips and twist each strip several times.
  6. Optionally brush with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
