Step-by-Step Instructions for Soy Garlic Tofu Balls
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 3 minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, 0.5 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of water, and 0.5 tablespoon of corn starch. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  2. Heat a large pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of neutral oil. Sauté the white parts of 1 chopped scallion for about 1 minute.
  3. Add 0.5 diced shallot or red onion and 0.5 diced red bell pepper to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce into the pan with the sautéed vegetables and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Gently add pre-cooked tofu balls to the pan and coat them with the sauce for about 2-3 minutes.
