Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Stir in melted unsalted butter, milk, and vanilla extract into the dry mixture until just mixed.
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the batter into it.
- Slice the ripe bananas and arrange them evenly over the batter.
- Combine ground cinnamon and optional nutmeg and sprinkle over the bananas.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
