  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  3. Stir in melted unsalted butter, milk, and vanilla extract into the dry mixture until just mixed.
  4. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the batter into it.
  5. Slice the ripe bananas and arrange them evenly over the batter.
  6. Combine ground cinnamon and optional nutmeg and sprinkle over the bananas.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
