Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey Substitute with ground chicken or beef if desired.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs if necessary.
  • 1 Egg Use flax egg for a vegan option.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Dried parsley can be substituted.
  • 1 tsp Fresh Oregano Use 1/3 amount if using dried.
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic Garlic powder is an alternative.
  • 1/2 cup Finely Chopped Onion Green onions or shallots can be used.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Adjust to taste.
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Sour cream can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 cup Grated Cucumber Squeeze out excess moisture before mixing.
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Dill Use fresh for best results.
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice Fresh juice is ideal, bottled can be used.
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil Extra virgin olive oil is recommended.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C), or heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, oregano, garlic, onion, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or sauté for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Prepare tzatziki by mixing yogurt, cucumber, garlic, dill, lemon juice, and salt. Chill for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve meatballs hot with tzatziki and garnish as desired.
