- Drain canned green beans, or blanch fresh beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then plunge into an ice bath.
- Cook chopped thick-cut bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until crispy. Reserve 2 tablespoons of grease.
- In the same skillet, add melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Stir until combined and bubbling for 3-4 minutes.
- Arrange green beans in the baking dish, pour the glaze over, and sprinkle crispy bacon on top.
- Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until edges bubble and glaze caramelizes.
- Let the dish sit for 5 minutes after baking before serving warm.
