- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour and baking powder, then gradually add to wet ingredients alternating with milk.
- Pour batter into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Combine caramel sauce, heavy cream, and powdered sugar in a bowl to make frosting, blending until fluffy.
- Once cooled, layer the cake with frosting in between and cover the entire cake with frosting.
- Sprinkle crushed caramel candies on top for crunch; press down gently.
