- Turn your Instant Pot to ‘Sauté’ mode and heat the oil for 2-3 minutes.
- Season stew meat with salt and pepper, brown the meat in batches for 5-7 minutes.
- Add remaining oil, sauté diced sweet onion for 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in beef broth and scrape up bits from the bottom of the pot.
- Return browned beef to pot, add Worcestershire sauce, bay leaf, Italian seasoning, and thyme. Stir well.
