Method
 

Preparation of Flan
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, icing sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Add melted butter and vanilla, mixing until a soft dough forms. Press into a tart pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line the tart shell with parchment paper and fill with weights. Bake for 15 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.
  3. In a saucepan, whisk egg yolks, whole eggs, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add milk and cream, heating until thickened. Stir in dark chocolate until melted.
  4. Pour the custard into the cooled tart shell and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until set but still slightly wobbly.
  5. Cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then brush with jam and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
