Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with a little butter.
- Layer 7 sheets of phyllo dough in the baking dish, brushing each sheet with melted unsalted butter.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together semolina flour, eggs, granulated sugar, whole milk, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the filling over the phyllo base and spread evenly, then layer additional phyllo sheets on top, brushing with butter.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and filling is set.
- Remove from oven and drizzle warm honey over the top, then sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before cooling slightly.
