For the Steak
  • 1 pound Steak Sirloin, ribeye, or flank steak for tenderness
For the Tortellini
  • 12 ounces Tortellini Fresh or frozen
For the Garlic Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced, adjust based on preference
  • ½ cup Cream Use cream alternative for vegan options
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Can substitute with butter
For the Finishing Touch
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese Use nutritional yeast for vegan version

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water, add tortellini and cook according to package instructions (3-5 minutes for fresh, 7-10 minutes for frozen). Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper, sear for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  3. Remove steak from skillet, let it rest for 5 minutes.
  4. In the same skillet, lower heat to medium, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in cream and add Parmesan cheese, stir well and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add drained tortellini and sliced steak to the skillet, toss gently for about 2 minutes.
  7. Plate Garlic Steak Tortellini, garnish with grated Parmesan and fresh herbs.

Notes
