Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, granulated sugar, and instant dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add salt, minced garlic, and dried herbs to the yeast mixture. Mix in 2 cups of all-purpose flour and the grated Parmesan cheese to create a sticky dough.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise for 1 hour until double in size.
  5. Punch down the dough, divide into two portions, and shape into balls. Place on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Cover with a towel and let rise for an additional 15-20 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F.
  7. Brush the tops with melted butter and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and hollow when tapped.
