  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil for cooking the chicken
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter can substitute with margarine or vegan alternative
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream can substitute with half-and-half or coconut milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth vegetable broth works for vegetarian option
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated is best
  • 1 tsp salt to enhance flavors
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Add chicken and toss well. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil. Sear marinated chicken for 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In another saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, season, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in Parmesan until smooth.
  4. In a pot, boil water and add ramen noodles. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until tender, then drain and toss with sesame oil.
  5. To assemble, divide noodles into bowls, ladle sauce over, and top with chicken, green onions, and optional carrots. Add an egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds and nori.
