Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and place a pizza stone inside if you have one.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sourdough discard, all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and olive oil.
  3. Gradually add water a little at a time, mixing until a soft, slightly tacky dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thickness on a floured surface.
  6. Place the rolled-out dough on parchment paper and brush a light layer of olive oil over the surface.
  7. Add your favorite toppings, starting with tomato sauce and cheese, then any additional toppings.
  8. Transfer the pizza (with parchment) to the heated pizza stone and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
