- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and brown thoroughly, draining excess grease.
- Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika and simmer.
- Make a cornstarch slurry with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water to thicken the filling.
- Roll out the pie crusts and cut circles to fit the muffin cups, fill with meat mixture and top with cheese.
- Seal the pies with smaller rounds of crust and make small slits for venting.
- Brush tops with a beaten egg and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from the tin and serve warm.
