- Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into 3/4-inch chunks. Boil in salted water for about 20 minutes until tender. Drain and keep warm.
- Melt butter and coconut oil in a saucepan, stir in honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne, and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Return sweet potatoes to pot, add diced apples and warm glaze, and stir to coat evenly.
- Transfer to a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake at 350°F for 1 hour, removing the foil for the last 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven, cool slightly, and serve.
