Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Thaw the frozen puff pastry overnight in the fridge. Roll out the pastry into a 10x12-inch rectangle on a floured surface.
  2. Spread about 1.5 tablespoons of Dijon mustard evenly over the pastry, leaving a ½-inch border.
  3. Layer 6 slices of deli ham on top, followed by 1 cup of grated Gruyère or sharp cheddar cheese.
  4. Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the pastry into a log. Trim the ends, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  5. Repeat rolling and filling with the second sheet of puff pastry.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Slice the chilled log into ½-inch pieces and place cut-side up on prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake in the oven for about 18 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
