  • 1.5 pounds Chicken (thighs or breasts) Thighs are juicier, breasts are leaner.
Garlic Sauce
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt can be used for a lighter version.

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, cinnamon, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Add the chicken strips to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Carefully place the marinated chicken strips on the hot grill or pan, cooking them for about 5-7 minutes on each side.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy.
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Layer the sliced chicken in pita bread or arrange on a plate. Drizzle with the garlic sauce and add toppings as desired.
