Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
  2. Remove leaves and stem from the cauliflower and slice into ½-inch-thick steaks.
  3. In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Whisk until well blended.
  4. Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak with the seasoning mixture.
  5. Arrange the steaks on the baking sheet without overcrowding and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For extra crispiness, broil the steaks for the last 2-3 minutes while watching closely.
  7. Remove from the oven, let rest for a couple of minutes, and garnish with parsley or chives before serving.
  8. Serve as a stand-alone dish or with sauces such as tahini or aioli.
