Ingredients

For the Coating
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour a light layer that helps the egg wash stick perfectly
  • 1 large Egg bonding agent for the coating
  • 2 tablespoons Milk adds moisture to the egg wash
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt enhances flavors
For the Crunchy Exterior
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs for a crispy layer
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon signature warm flavor
  • 1/4 cup Sugar adds sweetness to balance cinnamon
For the Apples
  • 2 medium Firm Apples Honeycrisp or Gala, fresh

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse and dry the apples thoroughly. Slice into ¼-inch rings, removing the cores. Lay the rings flat on a clean towel to absorb excess moisture.
  2. Prepare three bowls: one with whisked egg and milk, another with flour and salt, and the third with breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Coat each apple ring in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg wash, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes, spraying the basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  5. Arrange the coated apple rings in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overcrowding. Cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Remove cooked apple rings, optionally dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with honey. Serve warm.
