Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Air Fryer Apple Fritters
  1. Prepare apples by peeling, coring, and dicing 2-3 medium apples into ½-inch pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, ¼ cup of granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk 1 large egg, ½ cup of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients, stirring gently to create a slightly lumpy batter.
  4. Gently fold the diced apples into the batter.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  6. Scoop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space for air circulation. Cook at 350°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  7. Dust the fritters with powdered sugar for added sweetness.
  8. Serve your fritters warm, optionally with ice cream or caramel sauce.
