Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook penne pasta for 8-10 minutes, adding broccoli florets in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add kielbasa, cooking for about 5 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in diced onion and minced garlic, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until onions are translucent.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Whisk cornstarch and milk in a bowl, then pour into skillet. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Fold in cooked pasta and broccoli, seasoning with salt and pepper. Heat through for about 2 minutes.
  7. Serve and garnish with parsley if desired.
