Instructions
  1. Begin by cutting the cream cheese into cubes and microwave on high for about 30 seconds until very soft.
  2. Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season both sides with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat a large skillet and add butter and olive oil, then cook the seasoned chicken cutlets for about 5-6 minutes on each side.
  4. Lower the heat and add another tablespoon of butter, then sauté the chopped onions for about 5-7 minutes until softened.
  5. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour in chicken broth, softened cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes, stirring to create a smooth sauce.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce, and warm through for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
