Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, typically 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, season diced chicken with salt and pepper, and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In the same skillet, melt 2 more tablespoons of butter, add minced garlic and diced onions, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until onions are translucent.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stir, and add Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return chicken and drained pasta to the skillet, toss to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, garnish with parsley, and serve.
