- Trim the crusts off the thick slices of white bread. Cut each slice into 9 equal cubes.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the large eggs, milk, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, stirring until evenly mixed.
- Heat a skillet and melt 1/2 tablespoon of butter. Dip half of the bread cubes into the custard mixture and cook until golden brown.
- Transfer the cooked bites into the cinnamon-sugar mixture and toss gently to coat.
- Add another 1/2 tablespoon of butter and repeat the dipping and cooking steps with the remaining bread cubes.
