Making the Pretzels
- Dissolve yeast: Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let sit until frothy.
- Mix dry ingredients: Whisk together flour and kosher salt in a large bowl.
- Combine ingredients: Gradually add flour mixture to yeast mixture, stirring until shaggy dough forms.
- Knead dough: Transfer to floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Let it rise: Shape into a ball, place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
