  • 1 medium Onion Shallots can be used for a milder taste.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh garlic preferred; garlic powder can substitute.
For the Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning You can make your own blend.

  • 1 cup Corn Frozen or canned.

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and let it shimmer.
  2. Add sliced Cajun sausage to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Toss in diced onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables soften.
  4. Stir in the rice, then pour in the chicken broth and add Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Increase heat to bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat, cover, and cook for 15-18 minutes until rice absorbs broth.
  6. Remove from heat, let sit for 5 minutes, then fluff the rice and garnish with green onions or parsley before serving.
